NYTimes.com access requires annual re-registration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> Hi everyone, please be aware that there may be an increase in questions about access to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http%3A%2F%2FNYTimes.com&amp;sa=D&amp;sntz=1&amp;usg=AFQjCNEKrBQKW08mQ_1unka17i8Tkey03g\">NYTimes.com<\/a>. This is the Library&#8217;s institutional subscription to the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0site, which requires community members to register with their ualberta.ca emails for access. We set up this subscription just over a year ago, and people&#8217;s individual accounts require annual renewal. This means that community members who created an account about a year ago are now finding that they can&#8217;t access their accounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Please guide community members via the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Flogin.ezproxy.library.ualberta.ca%2Flogin%3Furl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fnytimesineducation.com%2Faccess-nyt%2Funiversity-of-alberta-edmonton-canada%2F&amp;sa=D&amp;sntz=1&amp;usg=AFQjCNEgF1RXMhTu726tqiWbvXXvCCPPvQ\" target=\"_blank\">database A-Z list link<\/a>\u00a0to renew their accounts.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Also, it&#8217;s transpired that some community members, not knowing about this need to renew their accounts, have assumed that we&#8217;ve cancelled\u00a0<em>NYTimes.com<\/em>\u00a0due to the budget reduction. This is not the case. Please clarify with patrons as needed.
