I asked one of my friends to come into the lab while I was doing an experiment, so this is a candid picture. This is an image of a researcher (me) adjusting a polarizer. I’m staring at a monitor offscreen that shows the values of the photodiodes. I’m adjusting the polarizer in order to remove the background and maximize the signal. This is a procedure I have to do almost every day in the lab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
