These are immortalized human ARPE-19 (retinal pigment epithelium) cells that show bigger and bigger intracellular vacuoles as a result of the inhibition of a certain protein in a dose-dependent manner. This is an assay I have developed to investigate this protein further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
