The University of British Columbia in beautiful Vancouver hosted this year’s Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences<\/a>. As always, the seven days were filled with lectures, such as the Big Thinking<\/a> series, book launches, poetry readings, and other special events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UAlberta Press had a booth at the Book Fair and we\u2014Douglas Hildebrand, Mat Buntin, Cathie Crooks, and Monika Igali\u2014had a chance to visit with some of our authors and converse with the many scholars who browsed our book display. As always, it was a stimulating and intellectually vigorous week!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special thank you goes out to our student assistant, who was eager to learn and ready to help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
