Rather than an in-person conference this fall, anthropologists are\u00a0Raising Our Voices<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0through an event series that is being offered online for live, interactive participation as well as view-on-demand. The live portion runs from November 5 to 14 and UAlberta Press<\/a> is at virtual booth #55.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During 2020\u2019s Raising Our Voices event series we are excited to announce several new titles, including a landmark collection of life-stories by Gwich\u2019in Elders<\/a>, the first book in our Women\u2019s Voices from Gaza Series<\/a>, and a provocative discussion of knowledge-making and ways of knowing<\/a>. Information about our new and recently published books is included in our conference catalogue<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to introducing new publications, our Acquisitions Editor Mat Buntin<\/a> is eager to learn about forthcoming anthropological book projects in Indigenous, Urban, Western, and Circumpolar North Studies. Work at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, class, and Indigeneity is of particular interest to UAlberta Press\u2019s growing publishing program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
