Shelagh Rogers interviewed<\/a> Vivek Shraya on CBC’s The Next Chapter<\/a>. It was a lively discussion centred on Vivek’s book, Next Time There’s a Pandemic<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shelagh Rogers also interviewed<\/a> Jane Cawthorne and Kinnie Starr on the show. They talked about Impact: Women Writing After Concussion<\/a><\/em>. And then Alberta Views<\/a> <\/em>magazine ran a full-page review of the book, by Doreen Vanderstoop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stacey May Fowles reviewed Theresa Kishkan’s Blue Portugal and Other Essays<\/a><\/em> in Quill & Quire<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rasmuson Library<\/a> presented a book discussion of Our Whole Gwich’in Way of Life Has Changed \/ Gwich’in K’yuu Gwiidand\u00e0i’ Tthak Ejuk G\u00f2onlih: Stories from the People of the Land<\/a><\/em> with authors Sharon Snowshoe and Leslie McCartney. The discussion<\/a> was recorded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edmonton Public Library<\/a> hosted a panel discussion<\/a> featuring Edmonton contributors to Situating Design in Alberta<\/a><\/em>, as part of their Capital City in Conversation series. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gavin Bradley read from his new book, Separation Anxiety<\/a><\/em>, for Artbar. You can listen to it here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munro Books<\/a> celebrated National Poetry Month with readings<\/a> from three of British Columbia’s finest poets: Yvonne Blomer, Arleen Par\u00e9, and Michelle Poirier Brown (You Might Be Sorry You Read This<\/a><\/em>). Michelle also read at an In\/Verse Reading<\/a> with Lesley-Anne Evans and Terence Young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theresa Kishkan joined host Megan Cole for Telling the Truth, an event with non-fiction writers, organized by the Federation of BC Writers<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nancy Holmes launched Arborophobia<\/a><\/em> with friends and colleagues in Kelowna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And last but not least, Literary Cocktails<\/a> was another highly successful event! This year featured readings by Gavin Bradley<\/a>, Nancy Holmes<\/a>, Theresa Kishkan<\/a>, and Michelle Poirier Brown<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
