Earlier in March, the International Coalition of Library Consortia, known as ICOLC, created a spreadsheet where libraries and consortia are collaboratively tracking COVID-19-inspired offers from vendors. You might be interested to take a look — it’s massive:
Because we are receiving so many offers, CSU has developed a position to guide our response to them. Here it is: we will consider accepting an offer when there is a specific, known need that it will address. For example, if a vendor offer would potentially provide access to an ebook that is required for a course, we would work with the vendor to find a solution that will work for U of A students and faculty. Please re-read my UALIB-L email from March 25 for more detail, and with any questions or suggestions, let us know at csu@ualberta.ca, anytime.
