This image may look like a cratered moon, but it actually shows oleosomes under a microscope. These tiny lipid-based droplets from flax seeds are natural delivery systems that I study in my research to improve drug solubility and stability. Like space exploration reveals the unknowns of the universe, pharmaceutical research explores the vast micro-world inside us. This image draws a connection between the outer cosmos and the microscopic world within.
