Through a free membership in MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program, UofA authors will now receive an APC discount of 10% for papers published in any of their 408 journals. The APC Discounts & Waivers page on the UAL website has been updated with the details below.
MDPI – Researchers affiliated with the University of Alberta qualify for a 10% APC discount in all MDPI journals. This includes staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, those on temporary or permanent research contracts, lecturers, and current and emeritus professors. Those with a temporary status (e.g. visiting researchers) also qualify as affiliated authors if the research in the manuscript was partially or wholly conducted at UofA, and the author submits the manuscript with a valid @ualberta.ca email address.
This discount may be claimed by an individual who is NOT the corresponding author, but only one MDPI discount is permitted per paper, and this discount cannot be combined with other available discounts (e.g. membership discounts offered by societies affiliated with some individual MDPI journals).
