Rather than an in-person conference this fall, anthropologists are Raising Our Voices through an event series that is being offered online for live, interactive participation as well as view-on-demand. The live portion runs from November 5 to 14 and UAlberta Press is at virtual booth #55.
During 2020’s Raising Our Voices event series we are excited to announce several new titles, including a landmark collection of life-stories by Gwich’in Elders, the first book in our Women’s Voices from Gaza Series, and a provocative discussion of knowledge-making and ways of knowing. Information about our new and recently published books is included in our conference catalogue.
In addition to introducing new publications, our Acquisitions Editor Mat Buntin is eager to learn about forthcoming anthropological book projects in Indigenous, Urban, Western, and Circumpolar North Studies. Work at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, class, and Indigeneity is of particular interest to UAlberta Press’s growing publishing program.
